High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience with maintaining extrusion or molding tooling
Proficient computer experience

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning and visual inspection of extrusion dies and components according to company procedures
Disassemble and reassemble extrusion tooling
Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs on extrusion tooling (e.g., polish dies, melt pumps, cross heads)
Identify wear, damage, or defects in tooling and report to Engineering; recommend replacements or enhancements
Maintain tooling inventory system, including labeling and tracking
Collaborate with production supervisors and toolmakers to resolve tooling-related issues and support continuous improvement
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; follow all safety protocols
Record maintenance activities and tooling condition in logs or CMMS systems
Order production tooling and supply items
Contact outside resources when necessary (e.g., manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, or other equipment support services)
Establish effective working relationships with operators, group lead, and department support
Read and understand tooling prints, part prints, processes, and documentation
Fill out documentation correctly
Effectively use quality equipment such as gauges, tooling scope, micrometer, ruler, etc
