Requirements

Passion for developing and providing audience-appropriate content and for technology
Successful degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, or Information Design – or equivalent qualification
Experience working with a Component Content Management System, ideally SCHEMA ST4
Knowledge of information models, ideally with functional design
Proficient in technical communication and localization
Basic knowledge of medical technology, ideally in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and water technology
Routine in using DTP programs like Adobe FrameMaker, Content Management Systems, as well as graphics and image processing programs
Strong IT skills, desirable experience with modern communication media
Fluent in German and English, spoken and written
Strong communicator and team player
Engaged forward-thinker who quickly grasps complex matters, recognizes problems early, and solves them efficiently

Responsibilities

Create audience-appropriate user manuals, service documentation, and internal technical information for medical devices in German and English
Support the establishment of the new Component Content Management System SCHEMA ST4
Take on the role of project manager for creating information products, ensuring everything runs according to plan with organizational skills
Gather required information from technical departments, research details independently if needed, and align content with relevant stakeholders
Always keep applicable guidelines and standards in view
Exchange internally with other Technical Writers and necessary specialist areas, such as Product Application Management
Participate in regular meetings – both departmental and cross-functional – with the Translation Team
Contribute expertise to defining and implementing editorial requirements, including correct and precise terminology
Carefully ensure compliance with the approval process and proactively implement it as needed
