Job Description: Technical RFP Manager

Position Overview

Smile Digital Health is seeking a motivated and experienced Technical RFP Manager to oversee the entire technical RFP and deal lifecycle for assigned opportunities in both the US and Canada. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful development and submission of compliant, compelling, and on-time proposals, contributing to our mission of #BetterGlobalHealth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full-cycle technical proposal processes for assigned RFPs and opportunities, including development, win theme strategy, and delivery of strategic pursuits or projects.
  • Act as the main point of contact for project managing the end-to-end RFP and client pursuit process.
  • Evaluate RFP requirements, develop timelines with clear accountabilities and deadlines, and undertake gap analyses.
  • Independently develop strategies to overcome identified gaps.
  • Perform technical writing and ensure mandatory requirements are highlighted and met.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (sales, product, engineering, marketing) to achieve proposal objectives, incorporating capture plans, benefits, solutions, and proof points.
  • Deliver proposals that are compliant, clear, compelling, and adhere to Smile brand guidelines.
  • Develop recommendations to improve proposal capabilities and processes by understanding proposal best practices and guidelines (readability, consistency, tone, frameworks).
  • Provide effective and accurate metrics, data, and reporting to analyze KPIs, ROI, etc.
  • Enter and monitor accurate tracking data, articulate requirements with contributors, and contribute proposal status information to review meetings.
  • Transmit proposals.
  • Maintain up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of Smile products, capabilities, industry trends, and business development knowledge of existing or prospective customers.
  • Comply with all privacy, security, and confidentiality policies, holding all confidential information in trust and strict confidence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in technical RFP writing, specifically within the technology and/or healthcare tech industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of interpreting RFPs and developing technical responses and proposals.
  • APMP Practitioner or Shipley certification, or equivalent experience with an APMP or Shipley certification in progress.
  • Knowledge or experience with US healthcare (US Payer and Provider) is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education.
