Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in the role
English language proficiency
Knowledge of image capturing tools, e.g., Snagit (preferable)
Communication skills to interact with developers, product owners, or testers
Experience in architecting complex documents and documentation sets
Preferable experience working in an agile, cross-functional software development team
Proficient in using documentation templates and style guidelines for consistent visual and structural approach
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Dita XML
Ability to lead technical writing projects in support of software products
Experience writing and editing information for users (e.g., Online Help, UI Text, User Guides, Configuration Guides, Release Notes, Functional Specifications)
Experience in a web-based content management system environment

Responsibilities

Develop, produce, and deliver information products as part of software applications
Conduct interviews with users and technical staff to gather data for documentation
Maintain and upgrade user information
Revise current user information for existing products and create new user information for new products
Translate technical information into web-based documents for non-technical and technical users
Create and maintain user assistance deliverables (e.g., online help systems, end-user manuals, administration guides, installation guides, release notes, enhancement or maintenance bulletins)
Provide recommendations for improvement and proofread texts for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
Identify required user assistance content by analyzing functional specifications and support documentation, working with subject matter experts
Contribute to internal process improvements and other duties as assigned
