Bachelor’s degree in legal process, business administration, insurance, or a related field desirable
Minimum of 5 years of experience in workers' compensation, preferably in a self-insured environment. Management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee the processing and management of workers' compensation claims in accordance with the law and the principles of administrative justice and sound and proper decision making
Utilise analytical skills and industry knowledge to make sound and proper liability decisions and manage the appeals process
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Analyse claims data and trends to identify areas for improvement
Prepare reports for management on key metrics
Develop and implement procedures related to evidence gathering, assessment and decision making, promoting best practices in claims handling
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on technical matters relating to claims
Provide training and guidance to staff on workers' compensation processes, regulations, and practices
