Requirements

  • Electrical and/or mechanical qualification from an accredited university or college
  • Experience/knowledge of diesel generator operation or working principles
  • SHEQ qualification is an added advantage
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for technical support of customer or project issues, including design, electrical/mechanical issues, project support, technical support, field service, or other service requests
  • Contributes to the development of an operational plan for own department activities of the team
  • Suggests improvements in products, processes, and procedures
  • Supports team in all technical aspects including sourcing parts, materials, labour, services, etc
  • Assists with quality and HSE management and/or issues
  • Owning the resolution of technical customer issues (Level 1, 2, 3 Technical Support – Resolves Technical Issues)
  • Working together with people from the business unit (contacts under guidance, specifying activities, planning of activities, giving explanations on technical issues)
  • Handling standardized project processes (guidelines for choosing the right actions, some latitude in ways of working and planning)
  • Handling targeted clients (works on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks, some latitude to deviate from those conditions)
