Electrical and/or mechanical qualification from an accredited university or college
Experience/knowledge of diesel generator operation or working principles
SHEQ qualification is an added advantage
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Strong problem solving skills

Responsibilities

Responsible for technical support of customer or project issues, including design, electrical/mechanical issues, project support, technical support, field service, or other service requests
Contributes to the development of an operational plan for own department activities of the team
Suggests improvements in products, processes, and procedures
Supports team in all technical aspects including sourcing parts, materials, labour, services, etc
Assists with quality and HSE management and/or issues
Owning the resolution of technical customer issues (Level 1, 2, 3 Technical Support – Resolves Technical Issues)
Working together with people from the business unit (contacts under guidance, specifying activities, planning of activities, giving explanations on technical issues)
Handling standardized project processes (guidelines for choosing the right actions, some latitude in ways of working and planning)
Handling targeted clients (works on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks, some latitude to deviate from those conditions)
