Requirements

  • BSEE, BSCS, or equivalent with 8+ years in the networking industry (minimum)
  • 2–3 years in software development or system/feature testing
  • 3+ years as a Program or Release Manager
  • MSEE, MSCS, or equivalent with 10+ years in networking (preferred)
  • Strong leadership and accountability in matrixed environments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Deep understanding of SDLC models and release management
  • Excellent problem-solving and risk mitigation skills
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication abilities
  • Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Hands-on proficiency with version control tools: ClearCase, GIT, SVN, Perforce, Jira
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Integration (CI) practices
  • Familiarity with codeline management methods

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex software releases (Junos Selective Updates) from concept to delivery
  • Analyze incoming requests for feasibility—both technical and operational
  • Define infrastructure requirements to produce appropriate software images
  • Drive teams to resolve Problem Reports (PRs) and bugs
  • Manage the full lifecycle of JSU release production, including validation
  • Coordinate with other Release Managers on PR fixes, builds, and testing
  • Integrate development and testing activities across multiple release vehicles
  • Provide detailed status updates on current and past JSUs
  • Collaborate across engineering teams and executive levels to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
  • Engage in tactical planning and program management aligned with business needs
