Requirements

Based in the Greater Toronto Area and able to work 3-4 days/week in-office
2+ years of experience leading a team of 5+ engineers
Full-time C/C++ experience in performance-critical (low-latency, parallel processing) systems
Preferred: Experience reporting to a CEO and working at a pre-Series B startup
Preferred: Full-time experience with a digital consumer product
Preferred: Full-time experience at a deep-tech company (e.g., GPU, OS, Compiler/Runtime, or sophisticated game engine) focused on low-level systems or graphics architecture
Preferred: Full-time experience as the designated technical owner/architect for a major production system

Responsibilities

Bring alignment, focus, and operational clarity across the technical organization
Manage the Platform and Infrastructure team
Help connect efforts across engineering groups
Ensure smooth coordination between product goals and technical execution
Work closely with the CEO and senior engineers to plan, prioritize, and deliver effectively across teams
Engage in technical discussions, understand trade-offs, and help engineering teams navigate decisions
Balance context, communication, and execution to keep the organization aligned and moving quickly
