Requirements

  • Based in the Greater Toronto Area and able to work 3-4 days/week in-office
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team of 5+ engineers
  • Full-time C/C++ experience in performance-critical (low-latency, parallel processing) systems
  • Preferred: Experience reporting to a CEO and working at a pre-Series B startup
  • Preferred: Full-time experience with a digital consumer product
  • Preferred: Full-time experience at a deep-tech company (e.g., GPU, OS, Compiler/Runtime, or sophisticated game engine) focused on low-level systems or graphics architecture
  • Preferred: Full-time experience as the designated technical owner/architect for a major production system

Responsibilities

  • Bring alignment, focus, and operational clarity across the technical organization
  • Manage the Platform and Infrastructure team
  • Help connect efforts across engineering groups
  • Ensure smooth coordination between product goals and technical execution
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior engineers to plan, prioritize, and deliver effectively across teams
  • Engage in technical discussions, understand trade-offs, and help engineering teams navigate decisions
  • Balance context, communication, and execution to keep the organization aligned and moving quickly
