Requirements

  • Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides (Pennsylvania requires Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT); Texas requires an active state technician license; Florida requires an active state technician license; Illinois requires active state technician license AND national certification (must be marked certified on state Illinois license))
  • Minimum of 6 months related pharmacy technician experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Candidate must reside in the state of Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas
  • A secure room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area (i.e., desk, chair)
  • Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment
  • Data Entry skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs
  • Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications
  • Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 10 feet of your computer and a minimum speed of 25 mbs download and 3 mbs upload (WiFi and satellite are not permitted)
  • Secure and private home workspace free from distractions

Responsibilities

  • Screening orders, specializing in research, review and entry of prescription overrides
  • Ensuring patients receive their correct prescriptions in a timely manner
  • Directing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification
  • Meeting specified production and quality standards as defined by the management team
  • Performing other pharmacy functions as required to support growth and development
