Perform a full range of electrical and mechanical duties including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems
Work in conjunction with department Maintenance Planner and Flow Line Manager to review daily production demands, prioritize, and allocate resources
Assess strengths and opportunities for the maintenance team
Train and mentor other team members to develop and advance their knowledge and competency
Use advanced trades mathematics with complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, precision measuring instruments, CNC equipment, and personal computers
Proficiently use DMMs, Meggers, Oscilloscopes, data logging instrumentation, and other typical measuring devices
Working knowledge and experience with sensors (temperature, flow, pressure, voltage, current, and others related to industrial manufacturing machinery)
Specific software application programs such as PLC programming software, VFD setup, troubleshooting, and commissioning
Knowledge and repair of instrumentation and controllers
Demonstrate mastery of core technical competencies across all production equipment, including troubleshooting/root cause analysis, bearings, slides, ball screws, motors, drives, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, valves, conveyors, plumbing, lubrication systems, sheet metal fabrication, welding, rigging, and machine shop capabilities (turning, milling, grinding, etc.)
Perform highly diversified electro-mechanical skills for installation and maintenance of production machines and plant facility equipment, including mechanical, advanced electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance repairs
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
Diagnose complicated problems independently to a component level, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities; interpret diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
Detect and report faulty operations and defective material; locate problems using observation, listening, precision measuring, and testing instruments
Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, hand, and power tools
Determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance
