Requirements

  • Hands-on expert knowledge of Cell Therapy production steps and unit operations
  • Ability to perform cryopreservation, movement, storage, and control of manufacturing patient materials
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs)
  • Ability to perform Batch Record Reviews (BRR) or Electronic Batch Record reviews and ensure documentation follows ALCOA+ principles
  • Capability to conduct safety Gemba walks and identify workspace hazards
  • Availability for Wednesday - Saturday overnight shift (3 p.m. - 3:30 a.m., with every other Wednesday off), onsite at Summit, NJ facility
  • Skills in providing tactical information on production resources, task execution, and performance metrics
  • Experience in enforcing training due dates and allocating time for training activities
  • Ability to troubleshoot tasks and assist with deviation closures

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for completion of production tasks for Cell Therapy products according to cGMPs, SOPs, and WIs
  • Emphasize personnel responsibility to work safely, drive accountability, and conduct regular safety Gemba walks
  • Accountable for production records/process documentation; perform BRR or Electronic Batch Record reviews by exception
  • Perform Cell Therapy production steps to maintain hands-on expertise, role model good execution, and backfill as needed to meet schedules
  • Provide team leadership with tactical information (daily, weekly, monthly) on production resources and task execution/progression
  • Actively execute team priorities, adjust as necessary, measure completion of production activities, and provide data for performance metrics in Tier meetings
  • Perform production tasks and enforce team training due dates, informing on training status
  • Support building a high-performing team, provide meaningful feedback, enable a culture of ethics and decision-making, and assist with performance reviews
  • Execute troubleshooting tasks for the team and assist with closure of deviations
