Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • A postgraduate degree in Law or related areas
  • Proven experience in managing indirect taxes, preferably in large companies
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Brazilian and international tax legislation
  • Experience in SAP (or other system) implementation
  • Experience in Tax ERP implementation
  • Skills in data analysis and the use of tax management tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactivity and the ability to work under pressure
  • English needed. Spanish desirable
  • People management (leadership) experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the calculation and payment of indirect taxes (ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS, COFINS)
  • Ensure compliance with current tax legislation and accounting standards
  • Prepare and review tax returns and related reports
  • Perform analyses and interpretations of tax legislation, identifying tax planning opportunities
  • Coordinate tax audits and respond to inquiries from government agencies
  • Develop and implement internal policies and procedures related to indirect taxes
  • Train and educate the team on tax matters and best practices
  • Collaborate with other departments (Finance, Accounting, Legal) to ensure the correct application of tax regulations
  • Lead indirect taxes compliance in Brazil
  • Lead tax technology, covering the region and linked with Tax Director South America
