Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and at least 8 years of experience in tax compliance, audit, research, and planning. A strong understanding of corporate tax codes, compliance procedures, and U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements is essential. Proven ability to collaborate with legal, accounting, and business teams, along with significant experience in R&D credit and filing processes, is required. A CPA certification is preferred, and experience with Netsuite, worldwide intracompany indirect tax issues, marketplace facilitator laws, digital goods, and sales and use taxes, as well as strong analytical and collaborative skills, will make candidates stand out.

Responsibilities

The Tax Manager will oversee all aspects of consolidated and entity-level direct and indirect taxes, including tracking and implementing new legislation and tax policy changes. Responsibilities include managing the preparation and review of federal tax returns, ensuring timely filing of all federal, state, and local income tax returns and business filings, and owning the preparation and filing of company credits and incentives like R&D. The role involves implementing and maintaining indirect tax processes, developing strategic tax planning for federal and state taxes, managing external consultants, planning the return calendar, maintaining tax process controls, managing IRS income tax audits, and monitoring tax law developments to advise management and the tax team.
