Requirements

Candidates should possess more than 10 years of proven experience in supervising operations, particularly in a payroll or similar environment, along with more than 10 years of strong project management skills. They must also demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong leadership and team-building abilities, a high level of comfort with technology, and outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

The Ops Supervisor (Tax Expert) will manage payroll-related state tax registrations and ongoing account maintenance with federal and state tax agencies, perform daily tax-related operations such as tax filing and account setup, provide constructive feedback to internal teams and government agencies, review and resolve inbound escalations related to tax issues, develop and execute tax operations strategies to streamline registration processes, identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with R&D to automate tax registration processes, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, establish and maintain high-quality assurance standards for tax-related operations, serve as the primary point of contact for federal and state tax agencies, communicate agency tax-related updates, and utilize internal software tools to analyze customer tax data.
