Requirements

A qualified lawyer with 6+ years of experience working at a leading law firm and/or financial institution; previous in-house experience is a plus
Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex tax issues
Highly organized and flexible; able to multitask and manage a range of competing priorities and projects with tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills; can work independently and as part of a team
Able to communicate with professionals within and outside Jane Street across all levels and areas of expertise
Commercially driven, very comfortable with numbers, extremely collaborative and entrepreneurial, and adept at working in a deadline-driven environment
Experience with the taxation of financial products and/or experience with international tax issues is a plus
Significant tax transaction and structuring experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Manage tax and related structural aspects of internal restructurings, including investment structures for senior individuals within the group
Handle tax structuring and advisory for acquisitions, dispositions, and other complex transactions related to the broader business of Jane Street
Work on structuring and advisory matters relating to the firm's trading activities
Collaborate extensively with local and global Tax team, along with a range of non-tax professionals throughout the organization
