Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in a similar role
  • 2 or more years of experience in international sourcing related position in industry, preferably in medical device business
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiations within an international environment
  • Tactical and long-term thinking focused on further achievements
  • High analytical skills and good understanding of manufacturing industry, budget and cost saving structures
  • Ability to travel 10%
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb

Responsibilities

  • Implement tactical actions in accordance with the designated strategy and align procurement initiatives to financial goals
  • Develop, maintain and manage contractual and business Supplier relationships and drive strong data-based supplier performance process
  • Support Category Managers and value streams including supplier communications regarding discrepancies, pricing, substitutes and backorders
  • Negotiate and optimize non-cost procurement terms (MOQ, LT etc.) as well as participate in annual material price development and ensuring accuracy of procurement data
  • Drive proactive and reactive sourcing and procurement process activities and smaller projects including assessing risk of purchases
