Requirements

  • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant field with proven post-graduation experience
  • Systems Engineer experience in modern Systems Engineering methods and tools
  • Experience in specifying, reviewing and managing requirements
  • Eagerness to enhance skills in emerging Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering concepts
  • Strong team spirit to collaborate within a dynamic, multi-disciplined team
  • British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship (security clearance requirements)
  • Ability to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in developing advanced actuation technologies for next-generation defence systems
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplined team developing actuation systems across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept to qualification
  • Collaborate with engineers at missile level to ensure the actuation system meets the needs of the missile
  • Work with various engineering disciplines within the Centre of Excellence to understand the functional architecture and relevant requirements for the electronics, mechanical and software domains
  • Opportunities to take on role as a support Systems Engineer or a lead Systems Engineer, depending on experience
