Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level preferred
13 months to 3 years of experience as an experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised
No managerial experience required
Strong knowledge of Storage technologies, including devices from major storage vendors (e.g., IBM, HPE Nimble)
Knowledge of Rubrik backup solutions and cloud/hybrid storage technology is a plus
Ability to work with third-party maintenance companies
Ability to work independently and with other groups to provide capacity planning and work with backup and disaster recovery group
Ability to document and create dashboards to monitor storage usage
Ability to roadmap the future of Dick’s Sporting Goods storage capabilities, including cloud migration
Ability to meet with vendors and present cost-effective solutions
Ability to provide fault isolation and resolution to limit and address issues promptly
Understanding of how to work within an established program management plan
Willingness to participate in assessment and development planning activities and formal/informal training
Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, regulations, and industry best practices

Responsibilities

Install and maintain storage devices in the data centers
Present storage to servers
Perform capacity planning with product teams
Troubleshoot storage issues
Monitor, identify, and correct moderately complex storage defects
Monitor, identify, and correct straightforward hardware defects
Provide fault isolation and resolution to limit and address issues promptly
Roadmap the future of Dick’s Sporting Goods storage capabilities
Meet with vendors and present cost-effective solutions
Work within an established program management plan to achieve specific goals
Develop own capabilities through training and coaching
