Candidates must possess a B.S. or higher degree in Automotive Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering. A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing integration, test plans, and procedures for safety-critical robotic systems or autonomous vehicles is required. Proficiency in test scripting and data analysis languages, particularly Python and SQL, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to navigate ambiguity and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with requirement and test traceability tools such as Polarion, Jama, DOORS, or TestRails is also necessary.
The Systems Engineer will establish strategies and methodologies to verify and validate the software stack with robust test coverage. They will work cross-functionally to develop detailed simulation and structured test plans and procedures to validate autonomous features. The role involves executing the technical and logistical planning of vehicle tests, coordinating with other teams including vehicle engineering, operations, software, and sensors. The engineer will design efficient test programs to achieve test coverage of requirements and scenarios, maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results, and design, develop, and operate test equipment and instrumentation systems. Troubleshooting and debugging issues in the field, performing test data analysis, and reporting test results are also key responsibilities.
