Senior Software Engineer, Autonomy Simulation
Latitude AIFull Time
Senior (5 to 8 years)
Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree, along with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience. Significant experience working in modern C++ (C++14/17/20) is essential, alongside strong knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. Experience in real-time simulation platform development and integration, such as game engines or autonomous vehicle simulators, is also required, as is previous experience developing in Linux environments or the ability to adapt to this environment.
The Autonomy Engineer will develop, maintain, and support the simulation infrastructure to enable autonomous vehicle operation and facilitate continuous system development. They will collaborate with data team members to implement and validate software for measuring autonomous vehicle performance indicators, and develop simulation tools to support safety and performance testing. The role involves supporting efforts to validate and communicate simulation and data analysis results to internal users, working with cross-functional teams to develop software and system requirements, and participating in team product quality activities. Additionally, the engineer will ensure internal users can efficiently design and add test coverage cases and may train them on the process as needed.
