Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering, with 2-3 years of experience in developing processor verification tests. Proficiency in UNIX/Linux-based scripting tools and languages such as make, bash, perl, and Python is required, along with experience in coverage-driven verification testing, instruction set simulators (ISS), SystemVerilog, and GitHub for CI/regression test automation. Experience with silicon, simulator, and FPGA environments for writing and configuring verification tests is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in EE or ECE, experience with RISC-V ISA and assembly language, familiarity with QEMU, Spike, or Sail simulators, and experience in open-source software and hardware communities.

Responsibilities

The Junior Processor Verification Engineer will work as part of the RISC-V International Technical Team and collaborate with the RISC-V CSC community to build and deliver certification tests and test plans. Responsibilities include attending RISC-V Certification Steering Committee (CSC) and work group meetings, supporting test case and test plan development and maintenance with working group members, and using simulation environments like Sail, Spike, and QEMU for test evaluation and development. The role also involves executing a tools-based process for evaluating test case coverage using SystemVerilog-based coverage tools, improving test coverage through collaboration with open-source test suite communities, and providing documentation for test setup and execution.
