Systems Administrator I/II (Corp193)

The Systems Administrator I/II will define security requirements and design solutions, providing guidance and implementing direction related to security technologies. They will apply the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53 controls to obtain and/or maintain Authority to Operate for information systems (Linux/Windows). This role involves configuring and maintaining user account management interfaces and system supports including direct customer interface, utilizing security management capabilities to ensure a secure and DoD compliant service and system architecture. The Systems Administrator will participate in the development of technical and/or management controls and implement services in accordance with NIST SP 800-171 requirements for protecting the Confidentiality of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). They will identify and implement security design, prepare and maintain engineering and security related documentation, provide technical advice related to system security, vulnerabilities, security architecture, and security policies, and ensure the rigorous application of information security information assurance policies and procedures. The role also includes working knowledge of classified environments and oversight on vulnerability assessments, defining, negotiating, and executing Assessment and Authorization (A&A) events, scheduling, performing and maintaining records of required information system auditing, patching, maintenance, software/hardware changes, and malware scanning based on evolving threat/vulnerabilities and compliance requirements. Finally, the Systems Administrator will build servers (physical and virtual), workstations (Windows/Linux) both physical and virtual.
