Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in FPGA/ASIC architecture, design and development
  • Prior expertise in SerDes and PHY design
  • Hands-on experience with system design tools and practices (Matlab, Simulink etc)
  • Deep understanding of interfacing with communication standards and optimizing serial link chip implementations
  • Proven experience with system and digital signal processing and algorithm development
  • Experience with analog design is highly valued
  • Hands-on experience with RTL, python and Firmware coding is strongly preferred
  • Post-silicon proven experience
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams
  • Experience in performance tuning, scaling, and managing large systems including strong analytical skills
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Developing and defining the leading edge of high speed SERDES
  • Modeling, designing, and optimizing system architectures to meet the needs of the business in compliance with external specifications
  • Working closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the architecture supports scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Defining and documenting system and component requirements for analog, digital and FW teams while considering trade-offs on power, die size, and performance
  • Researching and developing DSP algorithms and flows, including algorithm tuning and validation, and creating novel ideas to meet system requirements
  • Running simulations and analyzing system performance metrics and providing solutions for improving efficiency
  • Identifying potential risks in system design and implementation and proposing mitigation strategies
  • Providing clear and concise reports on system status, performance, and any potential issues
