Position Overview

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a System Administrator to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of information technology (IT) systems for Enterprise IT (EIT) mission obligations. This role is critical in providing IT support and solutions for National Cryptologic University classified training enclaves and unclassified learning centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directory Services (DS): Provide architecture, governance, development, implementation, maintenance, and oversight of EIT’s Active Directories and Directory Management for all Enterprise Services on all domains.
  • Desktop and Enclave Services (DES): Provide governance, development, implementation, maintenance, and oversight of EIT’s desktop, mobile platforms, Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDI), and Trusted Thin Client (TTC).
  • IT System Support:
    • Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
    • Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
    • Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, and mobile devices.
    • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk), Tier 2, and Tier 3 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
    • Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
    • Support the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
  • Operating System Management:
    • Configure and manage UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
    • Install/load operating system software.
    • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
    • Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • User Assistance:
    • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
  • Account Management:
    • Perform account management tasks, including establishing, activating, modifying, disabling, and removing accounts.
  • Configuration Management & Compliance:
    • Provide configuration management, implementation, and sustainment of compliance with applicable system security controls.
    • Perform periodic vulnerability scans of systems.
    • Implement IAVA security patches and ensure patch status is recorded in appropriate systems of record.
  • System Optimization:
    • Optimize system operations and resource utilization.
    • Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Troubleshooting & Analysis:
    • Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
    • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.

Requirements

  • This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week.
