Responsibilities
- Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
- Support day-to-day IT system operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server, storage, network devices, and mobile devices.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Manage the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
- Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Support the installation and maintenance of Cisco routers and switches for enterprise systems.
- Provide support for the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
- Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, performing system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
- Possess a working knowledge of system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Requirements
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with agency-appropriate polygraph is required.
- Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
- Experience: Fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Substitution: Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
