Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Support day-to-day IT system operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server, storage, network devices, and mobile devices.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Manage the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
• Install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
• Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Support the installation and maintenance of Cisco routers and switches for enterprise systems.
• Provide support for the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, performing system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
• Possess a working knowledge of system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Requirements

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with agency-appropriate polygraph is required.
• Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
• Experience: Fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Substitution: Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
