Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems software development for safety-critical systems
Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on programming C embedded software
Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on testing and debugging C embedded software
Excellent technical and communication skills

Responsibilities

Lead the detailed design and development of the basic software portion of the architecture
Lead and support the development of standardized common software modules
Define interfaces between the Basic Software (BSW) and Application Software (ASW)
Define dynamic behavior and set resource consumption targets
Coordinate software architecture development with software suppliers
Specify integration strategies for multiple projects
Collaborate with the Electronics Engineering team to develop hardware-software interfaces
Manage work through the use of configuration management and issue tracking tools
Support creation and review of software requirement specifications, models, and code
Execute the software development process and make improvements to process and infrastructure
Participate in cross-functional project planning and review events
Assess proposed features and perform impact analysis as a member of the SW Change Control Board
Coach team members to promote best practices and continuous improvement
