  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems software development for safety-critical systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on programming C embedded software
  • Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on testing and debugging C embedded software
  • Excellent technical and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the detailed design and development of the basic software portion of the architecture
  • Lead and support the development of standardized common software modules
  • Define interfaces between the Basic Software (BSW) and Application Software (ASW)
  • Define dynamic behavior and set resource consumption targets
  • Coordinate software architecture development with software suppliers
  • Specify integration strategies for multiple projects
  • Collaborate with the Electronics Engineering team to develop hardware-software interfaces
  • Manage work through the use of configuration management and issue tracking tools
  • Support creation and review of software requirement specifications, models, and code
  • Execute the software development process and make improvements to process and infrastructure
  • Participate in cross-functional project planning and review events
  • Assess proposed features and perform impact analysis as a member of the SW Change Control Board
  • Coach team members to promote best practices and continuous improvement
