Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant/professional experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license with no restrictions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including second shift (Monday-Friday 4pm-12am), overtime based on business needs, and rotational on-call weekends every other week
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
  • 20% travel
  • Preferred
  • Related field such as Transportation or Supply Chain Management
  • Demonstrated warehouse/inventory control experience in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Plan, route, deliver, and pickup all scheduled cases
  • Optimize and ensure effective utilization of all drivers
  • Ensure branch meets transportation goals and budget cost reduction strategies
  • Meet established metrics for operations (e.g., turns, service levels)
  • Coordinate expired replacement pickups and drop-offs as requested by warehouse teams
  • Perform route efficiency planning and communicate with surgical case coordinators to manage multiple routes, reducing mileage, overtime, and costs
  • Communicate with sales partners to establish relationships
  • Ensure all cases are delivered on time, complete, and to the correct facility
  • Coordinate timely return of all inventory to correct locations
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize driver capacity, considering peak times, demand fluctuations, and operational priorities
  • Collaborate with Inbound and Outbound teams for optimal efficiency
  • Maintain and update customer delivery instructions and location drop-offs
  • Prepare vehicle maintenance reports and ensure scheduled maintenance of all vehicles
  • Develop relationships with 3rd party courier companies for accountability on pricing, budgets, and routes
  • Manage team’s vendor credentialing
  • Complete other duties as assigned
