Responsibilities

Acknowledge and demonstrate skills commensurate with modern departmental leadership for team support, work execution, status communication, and process improvement
Oversee planning and warehouse team day-to-day activities to support efficient resource allocation (materials, personnel, equipment) on the manufacturing gemba
Support end-to-end materials management from suppliers to end customers by collaborating with stakeholders to achieve goals
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions
Lead projects by initiating, planning, executing, and controlling cross-functional teams to achieve goals and meet success criteria within constraints
Ensure availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and maintain inventory at acceptable levels
Source and supply raw materials, utilities, and outside services, while coordinating global procurement efforts
Understand and adhere to Quality System Compliance to ensure processes meet requirements and customer needs
Coordinate with Finance on inventory carrying costs
Review and plan requirements for acceptable inventory levels
Work with customers to audit inventory levels and with internal/external vendors to comply with inventory policies
