  • High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate
  • Working towards College Diploma or University Degree in Supply Chain
  • Detail oriented and organized, with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Good/Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well and efficiently with limited supervision
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficiency with the English Language
  • No previous related experience required (equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Vendor Change Specialist with vendor initiated change controls
  • Maintain a central file with vendor information
  • Request technical and regulatory documents from vendors
  • Monitor and track adherence to inclusion of quality documents upon incoming receipt and required changes
  • Issue purchase orders for zero value sample requests
  • Initiate and manage material transfers (internal and inter-site)
  • Liaise between site Compliance and Vendors as required
  • Maintain vendor terms and conditions, requesting updates through the payables team
  • Maintain procurement, planning and warehouse parameter information for direct materials
  • Initiate claims due to damage with carriers
  • Other duties as required
  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members, modelling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives
  • Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality systems Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Effectively engage in and adhere to departmental systems to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.)
  • Be client and patient conscious at all times
  • Understand Key Performance Indicators and strive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage in problem solving
  • Model positive thinking and is open to change, motivating the team to adapt to shifts in priorities and new ways of working
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in the execution of procedures
  • Communicate risks to timelines in a proactive manner
