Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of proven media experience, ideally in a B2B environment
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills. Knowledge of AP style is a plus
  • Ability to produce multiple news and content marketing articles each day
  • Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., Drupal), Google Analytics, social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite), and video/photo editing tools
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Experience covering the retail and consumer goods industry or a desire to learn
  • Occasional travel to P2PI events and industry conferences (a few times per year)
  • Comfort/experience on stage and camera or a willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Pitch, write, and edit high-quality, deadline-driven content for Path to Purchase's integrated platforms, including our newsletters, website, and social media channels
  • Package content for newsletters
  • Apply SEO and other digital best practices to maximize content discoverability and amplification
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy and adherence to editorial standards
  • Stay abreast of new trends in retail and consumer goods
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry sources and key stakeholders
  • Attend and cover virtual and in-person industry events as needed
  • Support P2PI events by assisting with logistics and by moderating panels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, digital operations, and art departments to execute the brand's content strategy
  • Play a role in P2PI webinars and videos as a host or moderator
