Requirements

  • Knowledge of Zero Defect Strategy and continual improvement principles for supply base compliance and risk mitigation
  • Ability to represent supplier quality function to customers, external auditors, and internal teams for incoming raw material and services
  • Expertise in supplier qualification using a risk-based approach, including leading supplier selection, evaluation, and audits per Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Proficiency in part qualification using Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), identifying Critical to Quality features, and connecting to receiving inspection (sampling plans and criteria)
  • Experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) teams and managing supplier change requests to drive Zero Defect strategies
  • Skills in leading supplier corrective actions across supply chain levels using non-conforming parts, data trends, and audit findings
  • Ability to analyze data trends and provide feedback to improve supplier performance

Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier qualification as a key member in supplier selection and evaluation teams using a risk-based approach
  • Lead supplier audits applying good auditing practices and the Quality Management System (QMS) for new programs and ongoing supplier management
  • Use purchased product specifications to identify Critical to Quality features and complete part qualification activities using Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements
  • Flow customer requirements into the supply base and connect part qualification to receiving inspection, setting sampling plans and inspection criteria
  • Represent Supplier Quality in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) teams and supplier change requests, driving Zero Defect strategies into the supply chain
  • Lead supplier corrective action activities across multiple supply chain levels using non-conforming parts, data trends, and supplier audit findings
  • Analyze data to identify trends and provide suppliers feedback to drive performance improvement
