Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead strategic discussions with suppliers to optimize lead times, minimum order quantities, and demand forecasts
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with senior leaders to set goals, develop project plans, and review performance metrics
  • Drive service performance to meet or exceed internal targets and customer expectations
  • Improve EDI accuracy with suppliers and lead Sales, Inventory and Operation Planning (SIOP) calls
  • Develop performance improvement plans that communicate root cause, actions taken, and accurate recovery dates
  • Analyze and release daily purchase orders
  • Evaluate and control shipments from suppliers to end customers through the PTO (Performance to Original) process
  • Apply Microsoft Office tools and data mining tools (SQL and Cognos) to improve service levels and minimize outages
  • Support inventory management through supplier engagement for return execution
  • Manage internal vendor settings and tables
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Provide training and mentoring to new employees as needed
