Responsibilities

  • Lead team to meet or exceed operational goals in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
  • Implement process improvements by applying PPI, 5S, and Lean methodologies
  • Advise the daily work to ensure schedule completion while leading utilization and efficiency
  • Trend production metrics to identify areas of improvement
  • Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve operational excellence
  • Ensure effective performance evaluations are prepared and delivered for all employees
  • Coach and mentor staff to elevate overall performance and achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Make technical and business risk decisions under real-time pressure
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Initiate investigations into process failures, product failures, and safety incidents
  • Interact cordially with diverse internal functional groups to tackle moderately sophisticated problems
