Ability to supervise a team of personnel within a single department or work unit

Responsibilities

Supervise daily hatchery operations, including chick delivery, flock pull sheets, and mortality charts
Maintain logs for each truck, detailing miles and hours worked by each driver, and ensure timely movement of chicks to farms as per the shipment schedule
Monitor and maintain incubation and hatchery equipment, as well as environmental control systems, ensuring optimal functioning
Lead and manage hatchery personnel, overseeing chick delivery and pick-up, and ensuring adherence to operational standards
Grade fleets of eggs from hen farms to ensure quality standards are met
Prepare vaccines for chickens, ensuring proper administration and documentation
Perform other responsibilities as needed and as assigned by the manager
