Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university in industrial and systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other related engineering disciplines
3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, or equivalent)
Responsibilities
Support prototype build events by tracking new issue containment and resolution using Mach’s custom internal issue management system (Jira); work cross-functionally with Design, Supply Chain, Material Controls, Manufacturing Shop leads, to determine best containment actions, followed by root-causing and corrective actions to prevent recurrence of the root issue(s)
Support planning and execution of virtual builds in preparation of Proto and MP build events; define sequencing constraints, standard tooling, manufacturing optimization recommendations, manufacturing feasibility analysis (hand clearance, tool clearance, material handling fixturing compatibility, DVA/GD&T analysis, tolerance stackup)
Research, validate, and author new manufacturing domain-specific content for Mach’s internal Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/A) guide documents
Support mass-production ramp activities; assist Manufacturing Engineers with planning and validation of mass-production tooling, fabrication and assembly processes, and collaborate to improve the manufacturing plans prior to start of mass-production (SOP)
Factory layout planning and management in AutoCAD
Simple equipment design and procurement, including jigs/fixtures, workholding, mold tooling
Automation equipment design and procurement, vendor project management
Support authoring of Mach’s MES system; consume Engineering BOM (EBOM) content to produce a coherent set of Visual Manufacturing BOM, digital MBOM, standard work instructions / job element sheet using various Manufacturing and Engineering softwares (Manufacturo, Siemens NX/TeamCenter, and Siemens EasyPlan)
Support development and maintenance of 150% (greater than) BOM documents, via time/date, serial, and variant effectivities
