Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in high-voltage transmission line stringing works, with preferable experience in 330kV and above. Fluency in English is required, alongside familiarity with stringing techniques, tensioning methods, and safety procedures. A mandatory Working at Height certification, along with relevant City & Guild or equivalent certifications in rigging, lifting, or power transmission, is extremely desirable.

Responsibilities

The High Voltage Power Transmission Line Stringing Specialist will perform preparation works, paying out, jointing, clipping, tensioning, sagging, clamping, spacering, and jumpering for high-voltage transmission lines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. They will operate and maintain stringing equipment, such as tensioners, pullers, and winches, and ensure proper installation of insulator string fittings, conductors, OPGW, and earth wires. The specialist will work at heights on lattice towers and monopoles, adhering to safety regulations, work procedures, and risk assessments while coordinating with site supervisors and engineers to execute work within project timelines and troubleshoot technical issues.
