Position Overview

This role involves managing sourcing and contracting processes within IT Hardware, IaaS, and Hardware and Software Maintenance and Support categories. A key aspect of the role is leveraging AI in work processes and driving year-over-year savings on significant spend.


Responsibilities

  • Category Management and Contract Execution:
    • Partner with internal stakeholders (commercial and technical) to clarify IT hardware, IaaS, and global support/maintenance sourcing requirements.
    • Lead the development of supplier negotiation strategies.
    • Own opportunity assessment and initiation through contract execution.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Lead commercial and contractual requirements across ServiceNow’s IT Hardware supplier profile.
    • Craft unique supplier strategies that align with stakeholder requirements.
  • RFx Management:
    • Serve as the supplier interface for all RFI, RFP, and RFQs.
    • Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling of RFx proposals.
    • Present RFx results to stakeholders and drive sourcing decisions.
  • Competitive Benchmarking and Market Research:
    • Stay updated on IT Hardware and IaaS market dynamics to ensure proper category management.
    • Guide stakeholders on changes in market dynamics.
  • Sustainability Initiatives:
    • Collaborate with internal Sustainability teams to support sustainability requirements with suppliers.
    • Drive suppliers towards improving sustainability efforts.
  • Demand Management:
    • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Actively seek industry knowledge through research, trade shows, conferences, and online training to become a trusted advisor.
  • Sourcing and Contracting:
    • Manage, advise, and engage in sourcing and contracting processes for IT Hardware, IaaS, and Hardware and Software Maintenance and Support categories.
  • Supplier Analysis:
    • Conduct supplier analysis, evaluate potential suppliers, and support the overall supplier qualification process.
  • Savings and Strategy Development:
    • Drive best-value supplier selection to achieve year-over-year savings on over $600M spend.
    • Develop and create sourcing plans, hardware category strategies, requests for proposal, and other sourcing strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of sourcing experience within IT hardware, IaaS, and global support/maintenance services categories.
    • Proven experience in preparing cost models, negotiating with suppliers, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders and Executive Leadership.
    • Experience working with industry-leading suppliers such as Dell, Cisco, Juniper, IBM, Apple, Lenovo, and value-added resellers.
    • Experience working within the client and peripherals/consumables sourcing category.
    • Experience with hardware leasing (e.g., printers, MFP devices, laptops).
    • Experience with RFx processes, contract processes, and sourcing best practices.
  • AI Integration:
    • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This includes using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact.
  • Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain processes, with an analytical and results-focused approach.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of crafting negotiation strategies and achieving optimal results.
    • First-class professional and interpersonal communication skills for collaboration with internal and external relationships at all levels and across all cross-functional disciplines.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Collaboration:
    • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
