Candidates should possess 7+ years of sourcing experience within the IT hardware, IaaS, and global support/maintenance services categories, including cost modeling, supplier negotiation, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders and executive leadership. They should have experience working with industry-leading suppliers such as Dell, Cisco, Juniper, IBM, Apple, Lenovo, and value-added resellers, as well as experience in the client and peripherals/consumables sourcing category. Knowledge of hardware leasing and purchasing/supply chain processes, along with an analytical and results-focused approach, is also required.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager – IT Hardware will be responsible for leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving; managing Category Management and Contract Execution by partnering with stakeholders on requirements and leading supplier negotiation strategies; leading Supplier Relationship Management across ServiceNow’s IT Hardware supplier profile; conducting RFx Management including TCO modeling and driving sourcing decisions; performing Competitive Benchmarking and Market Research to stay updated on market dynamics; collaborating on Sustainability Initiatives to support supplier improvements; monitoring and forecasting demand; actively seeking industry knowledge through research and training; managing, advising, and engaging in the sourcing and contracting processes for IT hardware, IaaS, and support/maintenance; conducting supplier analysis and supporting supplier qualification; driving best value supplier selection to achieve year-over-year savings; developing sourcing plans and strategies; and ensuring clear requirements documentation and strong negotiation skills.
