Spreetail is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager (Approvals) to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the company's purchasing strategy, serving as the subject matter expert for the Purchase Order (PO) approval process. The position ensures that all orders align with financial goals and business objectives, leveraging analytical skills to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement in procurement operations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Purchasing Excellence: Evaluate and approve a high volume of purchase orders for domestic and international vendors, acting as the key decision-maker for complex and high-value orders.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze historical and forward-looking data using tools like Power BI and Excel to assess risk, enhance profit margins, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Strategic Process Improvement: Proactively identify trends and inefficiencies in buying behaviors. Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, and Finance teams to address root causes and implement lasting solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a central point of contact between key departments, ensuring a seamless and efficient PO submission and approval process.
  • Champion Best Practices: Develop and maintain robust documentation and play a key role in evolving the operational playbook. Onboard and coach new team members, and provide expert guidance on workflow optimization.
  • Impactful Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on PO approval trends, Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance, and identified risks to inform strategic business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement, process operations, or approvals, with an understanding of the full PO lifecycle from creation to payment.
  • 2–4 years of experience leading or supporting process improvements across a large, cross-functional organization.
  • 1–2 years of experience working with or presenting to senior leaders, including in high-stakes or conflict-resolution settings.
  • Strong data fluency, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into actionable decisions (Power BI and Excel experience preferred).
  • A practical, business-first mindset focused on outcomes such as margin, risk reduction, and inventory efficiency.

Compensation Details

The base pay for this position ranges from $70,000/year to $90,000/year. Pay is based on several factors, including geographic market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Spreetail is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided.
