Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred, and demonstrate at least 7 years of experience in financial analysis and strategic planning, particularly within a technology or SaaS environment. Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and business case development are essential, along with proficiency in SQL and experience with BI platforms such as Tableau. Familiarity with AI tools like Anthropic Claude is a plus.
As a Strategic Finance Manager (Analytics & Insights), you will analyze financial and operating metrics, including customer behavior, utilizing advanced tools and AI to provide data-driven insights. You will design and implement comprehensive dashboards for visibility into key metrics and system health, partner with various teams to develop management reporting and KPIs, and oversee regular operating reviews of business initiatives and new products. Furthermore, you will identify data gaps, provide requirements to Central Data teams, and contribute to financial analyses that drive GitLab’s earnings guidance and are presented to executive leadership.
