Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications, marketing, or related roles, preferably with exposure to business development or stakeholder-facing initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing digital communications platforms, organizational websites, and audience engagement strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, compelling content
  • Experience supporting executive and board-level communications or advocacy efforts preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in digital platforms including LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and content management systems; experience in leveraging analytics to drive meaningful outputs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while exercising sound judgment and initiative in independent work

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage content that drives business development outcomes targeting key customers
  • Draft and edit written materials including capability sheets, white papers, presentations, newsletters, and reports that communicate Geneva’s work, achievements, and partnerships
  • Support the development of messaging frameworks, presentations, and briefing materials for executive and board communications
  • Coordinate cross-organizational efforts to surface and communicate impact stories, program outcomes, and performance metrics that demonstrate Geneva’s research and translational value
  • Partner with the Office of Strategy & Impact and Business Development teams to ensure execution of strategic communications with organizational goals and sponsor priorities
  • Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns aligned with curated opportunity sets, ensuring outreach efforts connect the right customers with the right research domains
  • Oversee Geneva’s website and digital presence ensuring timely updates, high-quality content, accessibility, and consistent messaging
  • Manage Geneva’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, etc.), including content calendar, campaign creation, scheduling, and engagement tracking
  • Monitor analytics across platforms and generate monthly performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Ensure all digital content aligns with Geneva’s brand standards, tone, and strategic priorities
  • Manage Geneva’s website and associated assets ensuring relevance, accuracy, and impact related to mission, business development needs, and key stakeholder groups
