Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies
  • Experience working for b2b SaaS companies is preferred
  • Experience with field service is preferred
  • Deep understanding of the full content lifecycle, from ideation to distribution and analysis
  • Experience with content marketing platforms, specifically those powered by AI
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in mentoring a team
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the end-to-end content strategy, from ideation and planning to distribution and measurement
  • Align the content strategy with overall brand, marketing, and business objectives
  • Map out the customer journey and define the content needed at each stage (awareness, consideration, decision, and retention)
  • Manage a comprehensive content calendar across all platforms, including blogs, ebooks, video, and whitepapers
  • Manage AI tools and integrate AI tools into the content development process
  • Oversee the content creation process, either directly or by guiding a team of writers, designers, and subject matter experts
  • Ensure all content is high-quality, on-brand, and optimized for search engines (SEO) and user experience
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for content, such as traffic, engagement, lead generation, and conversions
  • Use data analytics to measure content effectiveness and make data-driven decisions to optimize the strategy
  • Research and write original copy and/or edit copy for a wide range of marketing materials including website copy, blog posts, case studies, eBooks, email campaigns, landing pages, whitepapers, and sell sheets
  • Lead content initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand messaging, drives customer engagement, and supports marketing and sales goals
