Responsibilities

  • Work closely with managers and team members to understand Target’s retail business and excel in a management role
  • Spend majority of time leading amongst the team, identifying and working towards store priorities, and delivering great guest service
  • Learn to drive guest experience and impact store’s financial, team, and operational performance
  • Work alongside a mentor to learn effective department leadership and step into leading mentor's departments with guidance
  • Lead and motivate a team, drive sales results, merchandise products, and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • Participate in ongoing developmental conversations and support execution of daily operations by working beside team members
  • Build team culture and guide team to grow and achieve goals
  • Gain experience in guest service fundamentals, building and managing guest-first team culture, guest engagement, problem-solving, and resolution
  • Learn retail business fundamentals, setting and planning department monthly/quarterly workload to support priorities, and managing team to deliver service and sales goals
  • Manage team of hourly team members and leaders, create business strategies and goals, and handle recruiting, selecting, and talent management
  • Spend time on store salesfloor and backroom leading amongst team members and aligning team on daily business priorities
