Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or Building Technology
  • 4 to 7 years in retail design, similar commercial projects or high-end/custom residential in a designer’s position
  • Proficient Korean & business English level written and verbal
  • Ability to travel across Korea
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Illustrator and SketchUp etc
  • Experienced at managing architectural projects (knowledgeable of millwork standards, details, construction, etc.)
  • A deep love and respect of delicious coffee, food and amazing guest experiences
  • (Nice to have) Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat X Pro, Project
  • (Nice to have) Experience in facilities and property management
  • (Nice to have) Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, structural engineering)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects are executed on time, on budget and in line with brand standards in terms of design and quality
  • Uphold the brand identity in design and function to meet Blue Bottle standards and expected team (operational) and guest experience
  • Work closely with local/global cross-functional teams and external partners to establish project schedule, from initial concept through final execution
  • Lead external design partners in following through with design direction provided by Global Cafe Design
  • Supervise and coordinate all architectural and construction activities involved with the opening of new and/or existing cafe enhancements
  • Prepare project launch package by gathering all the necessary information (test-fit, cafe program, site survey, photo report, vendor guidelines, brief documents, arch/MEP drawings)
  • Provide timely progress reports to key partners
  • Build relationships and expand the pool of vendors and consultants in the region
