Requirements

  • Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members

  • Attention to detail and follow a multi-step process
  • Accurately handle cash register operations
  • Climb up and down ladders
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) and regular attendance necessary
  • Willing to work (and be scheduled when needed) in any area/work center of the store (cross training will be provided)

Responsibilities

  • Help create an experience that makes guests say “I love Target!”
  • Provide guests with a fresh, full, and food safe shopping experience
  • Ensure product is fresh, in stock, available, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor
  • Lead food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas
  • Provide guests with information around when to purchase items and in what quantity, as well as storage tips
  • Manage department sales trends, inventory, quality and freshness, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions strategies
  • Apply knowledge of food seasonality, freshness and quality, food safety standards and routines, and merchandising
