Requirements

The candidate must have 7+ years of experience in technical communication, with demonstrated English language proficiency and experience authoring in DITA, Markdown, or a similar structured authoring architecture. They should possess experience in defining content strategy and leading content development projects for new or large products, as well as experience influencing or leading diverse teams and mentoring junior writers. Familiarity with integrating AI into work processes and a strong understanding of content development lifecycles are also required.

Responsibilities

The Staff Technical Writer will define content strategy for multiple applications, including information architecture, textual content, and multimedia assets. They will drive content strategy execution by producing high-quality, user-focused technical content and coordinating with subject matter experts, reviewers, multimedia producers, and other writers. The role involves influencing product strategy and creating content experiences that accelerate customer success by leveraging a strong understanding of the ServiceNow product ecosystem and user needs. Additionally, the writer will provide leadership in teams by fostering collaboration, considering diverse perspectives, and ensuring timely achievement of objectives.
