Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery within a related industry managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact
- Experienced in system/platform design concepts, architecture, UX design, services, APIs, and technologies
- Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with product managers to understand target personas and business process needs, translating them into features and user stories for engineers to iterate products quickly
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems
- Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, project management tools, techniques, project tracking tools, dashboards
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the development of large-scale, cross-functional projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Work closely with architects, engineering, product, design, and business leaders to ensure successful completion of large software development programs
- Demonstrate deep understanding of software architecture and software design principles
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Walmart, ensuring alignment on roles, responsibilities, and program cadences
- Define goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale programs incorporating multiple programs with dependencies across areas of work, timelines, and resource constraints
- Prioritize efficient engineering resource utilization and delivery by simplifying and clarifying priorities, and creating plans with appropriate milestones for advance planning and executive buy-in
- Establish a resource capacity allocation process and tool to transform the planning process
- Use problem-solving and decision-making skills to navigate setbacks or obstacles
