Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience, or an Advanced Degree and 2+ years of work experience, or a PhD and 0 years of work experience, or 8+ years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 5 years of development experience, primarily in Java, is required, along with mandatory AWS certification. Experience with event-driven architectures, designing architectural solutions, Docker/Kubernetes, and various testing methodologies (unit, integration, load) is also necessary. Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, observability tools, Postman, Grafana, OpenAPI/Swagger, microservices, and previous financial market experience are desirable.
The Staff SW Engineer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of projects using Java and AWS services. This includes participating in technical analysis with product teams, executing Terraform for AWS resource management, and monitoring applications using Grafana. Responsibilities also involve database optimization, particularly with DynamoDB, contributing to architectural decisions, and understanding/building micro-service and event-driven architectures, including solving distributed transaction problems.
