Requirements

Candidates should be backend-leaning Staff Fullstack Engineers with empathy for customers and a focus on building secure software with a great user experience. Experience with complex challenges, designing resilient solutions for consistency problems, and a background in distributed systems are highly valued. Familiarity with technologies such as React, Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, and MongoDB is expected.

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer will architect, design, and implement user interfaces, data architectures, distributed tasks, and API endpoints. They will co-create new functionality across the Webflow technology stack, improve reliability and scalability of distributed backend systems, and leverage AI tools. The role involves coordinating projects, driving architectural solutions, leading with technical expertise, producing high-quality code, authoring design documents, fostering an inclusive environment, collaborating with product managers and designers, mentoring other engineers, and participating in engineering citizenship activities.
