Requirements

Candidates should have 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on designing, building, and scaling distributed systems. A BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience, is required. Expertise in large-scale systems engineering, cloud-native technologies (including networking and security), and experience running production services on AWS, GCP, or Azure are essential. Proven ability to influence teams and management through effective communication, along with demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring technical teams, is also necessary. Knowledge of Confluent's Kafka platform or other streaming platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer will lead and drive the technical vision and execution for the Fleet Management team, developing and maintaining mission-critical services with a 99.99% SLA across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Responsibilities include enhancing stability, performance, and scalability, collaborating with stakeholders to create and execute a roadmap for Fleet Management solutions, and identifying and solving complex technical projects. The role also involves guiding and mentoring team members, fostering a high-performing engineering culture, and evaluating and enhancing the technology stack with state-of-the-art solutions.
